Events at a glance: Throughout the year, MGRC hosts a number of events! These events include a Welcome Back Reception shortly after the start of session, weekly Lobbyist 101 training series and a partnership with the High School Page program, networking events, a Continuing Legal Education course after Session concludes, and an annual meeting. Patricia Winget 

Patricia Winget has devoted her extensive career to health-related law. She is currently legal counsel and rules coordinator for the Minnesota Department of Health, where she has been since 1999. She has also been a lobbyist at the Minnesota Legislature, an attorney in private practice in Red Wing, and a Minnesota Assistant Attorney General. At the Department of Health, she oversees the Department’s rulemaking. Her work editing the Minnesota Rulemaking Manual, the state agencies’ guide for adopting rules, and chairing the state agencies’ annual rulemaking seminar makes her one of Minnesota’s go-to experts for rulemaking advice. She graduated from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law.

Denise Wilson

Denise works for the Environmental Quality Board (EQB) as the Environmental Review Program Director.  Prior to her position with the EQB, she worked for over 20-years at the Pollution Control Agency in various positions that included writing air quality permits, preparing Environmental Assessment Worksheets and Environmental Impact Statements, and as the St Croix Basin Coordinator working on Watershed Restoration and Protection Strategies.
